Web Developer

Playerthree is an independent game studio based in London Bridge, SE1. We work on a variety of high profile cross-platform work-for-hire projects and our own IP. We develop in Unity, C++ and HTML5 for iOS, Android, Playstation and desktop.

We’re looking for a talented Web Developer to work with our team on a variety of cross-platform projects and see them from concept to delivery and beyond.

This is an interesting and flexible role for the right candidate – you’ll be supporting our game developers by providing the backend resources for client-facing games, creating gaming-related microsites, and developing your own games too.

Key requirements for the role:
• Experience with LAMP stack development
• Passionate about games
• Able to define task requirements and deliver to deadlines
• Positive and self-motivated with good communication skills
• Open-minded and keen to learn

With experience using the following technologies:
• Advanced JavaScript (module pattern, closure, AJAX, XSS best practices, CommonJS/AMD)
• jQuery
• Node.js (Express, Socket.IO)
• NoSQL (MongoDB)
• Github & SVN
• Canvas 2D
• CSS 2/3
• Bootstrap

Some experience with these would be nice, too:
• Amazon Web Services
• Canvas 3D (three.js)
• WordPress
• AngularJS
• Other HTML5 APIs (Web Audio, File API, Web Storage etc.)
